UU Campus and Community Day 2018
#cefjacksontn – We were blessed yesterday to have an awesome group of Union University students serve us through the school’s annual “Campus and Community Day.” On this day, the school encourages its students to give back to the community through acts of service. This is the way the university states the purpose of this special day: “The Day of Remembrance is a time when the university joins together to give thanks to God for his protection over the campus during tornados in 2002, 2003 and 2008, and to give thanks to the Jackson community for their support during those times.”
At our specific location (CEF office), we had eight students assist us with clearing off the chain-link fence that is between us and the bypass. They also reinforced some weak spots in the fence by tying loose top runs with galvanized wire. Some of them painted our bathroom and others cleaned the brass parts of our front door. They also cleaned up the big window that flanks our conference room. These students were so positive in their work and took time to pray for our ministry before they left.
God bless you all and thank you for serving CEF of Greater Jackson! Here are a few photos from our time together.
