Prayers Answered
We have been talking a lot about prayer over the last several months and there is a good reason.
1 John 5:14 says “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”
At one of our longest-standing Good News Clubs® in Jackson attendance has been much lower than in years past. Our faithful volunteers at this location have been praying to our Heavenly Father that more children would join the club. Alongside their fervent prayers, they worked together to analyze and make a strategy as to how they could increase interest in GNC.
Last week when they went to gather the children for their weekly meeting they were greeted with excitement from one of the regular club members. She was thrilled to introduce three friends she invited to attend the Good News Club.
God answered their prayers and inspired this sweet child to invite her friends unprompted by our volunteers. The club that day was full of energy and joy. This simple story is profound proof that the Lord listens to and hears us when we confidently approach him seeking things that are pleasing to him.
