Oakfield Baptist Church 09.25.2021

#cefjacksontn – over the weekend, we were invited to join one of our partner churches in a wonderful community event. It was the “Oakfield Baptist Church: 3rd Annual Robert Roe Community Love Our Neighbor Day.” This was truly an amazing event. Lots of people donate new and gently used household goods to the church to be given away to people in need. They gave away furniture, mattresses, appliances, shoes, clothes, and other household goods. Pastor Mickey Jackson started the morning with a devotion and prayer, reminding the people about WHY they do things like this. It is because of the love of Jesus and their desire to show their community that unselfish love.

Thanks goes out to Dinah Hufstedler, one of our local ministry committee people, for coming out to spend the morning with us. It was a gorgeous day and it was a blessing to be there. Look at the photos below to get an idea of what the event was like.
