Oakfield Community Day

#cefjacksontn – We had a blast Saturday with the Oakfield community at their first outreach event. It was held at Pugh Bourne Park and was sponsored by area churches… Oakfield Baptist, Parkview Baptist, and Unity Baptist were three of the churches I spoke with while I was there. The day was a hot one, but we still had a lot of people to visit and support the effort. 

I was very pleased that my wife Dawn felt well enough to join me and help man the CEF info-table. We had a few good conversations with the people there and I am thankful to have made a good connection with an area pastor who has an interest in CEF. The afternoon was filled with fun, food, and fellowship. Various soloists sang to us and the Master’s Call did too! There were “jumpy houses” for the kids and a spirit of community was formed. To everyone who planned this event and did all the hard work… “bravo!.” You did a great job!
