Week 3 Summer Ministry Recap

It is hard to believe that so much of summer has passed by already! Throughout week 3 of CYIA™ our volunteers served in two locations in two counties.  
 
Allenton Heights Boys and Girls Club supervisors Mrs. P and Mr. L.J. invited us to participate in their summer activities. Our volunteers were blessed to meet with 12 children throughout the week and share the gospel. All the children were sweet, attentive, and enjoyed 5-Day Club®. We are hopeful that we will continue this relationship into the school year.  

Brownsville Boys & Girls Club, (Haywood County) was a huge change of pace for our volunteers. This 5-Day Club drew in 71 boys & girls! We divided them into two groups to make it a more personal setting for the children to ask questions and interact with our volunteers. On the final day of the clubs this week, we had a special appearance from Professor Poppy. The entire group gathered in the gym and enjoyed the show. We are thankful to site director Coach Ray Jones for inviting us to be a part of their summer program this year.
